Professor Clive Palmer
Chairman of the Board

Professor Palmer has over 25 years experience in the Australian resource industry with significant major project success. He is the Chairman of the Board for Queensland Nickel Pty Ltd and Gladstone Pacific Nickel Ltd. Professor Palmer is also Chairman and founder of Mineralogy Pty Ltd.

Professor Palmer is a Director of 28 other companies and a leader in the Australian community with business affiliations throughout the world.

Trefor Flood
General Manager Operations
BEd

Trefor Flood joined Yabulu Refinery in 2008 as Manager Final Nickel and Utilities before being promoted to General Manager Operations in 2009. Prior to this, he held roles with Minara Resources as Production Superintendent and Process Plant Manager. Mr Flood comes from an extensive mining and resourcing background, having been employed in a range of roles both in Australia and overseas for the past 25 years.

David Morgan
Marketing Director
BSc (Chem) BEng (Chem & Mat)

David Morgan first worked at the Yabulu Refinery between 1988 and 1993 as a Process Engineer before moving into various marketing roles with Billiton and subsequently BHP Billiton. Most recently Mr Morgan was the Cobalt and Specialty Products Marketing Manager for BHP Billiton Marketing, based in Singapore. Since the sale of Yabulu Refinery to Prof Clive Palmer he has accepted the role of Marketing Director and is currently based in Brisbane, Queensland.

Peter Harrington
Ore Supply and Business Development Manager
BEng (Chem), PhD (Chem)

Peter Harrington has been employed in a number of roles at Queensland Nickel since 2000 including Operations Group Leader, Supply Manager, Technical Services Manager and Refinery Operations. Mr Harrington accepted the role of Ore Supply and Business Development Manager in 2009.

Basil Ahyick
Chief Financial Officer
BBus(Acc), CPA, AAICD

Basil Ahyick became Chief Financial Officer of Queensland Nickel in 2009 after joining the previous business known as BHP Billiton Yabulu Refinery in 2007 as Manager Business Services. With in excess of 20 years in finance related roles, Mr Ahyick has comprehensive experience in the resources and mining industry, having spent the past fifteen years working for a number of BHP Billiton assets in Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia and Queensland. He has also worked in the Steel, Food Processing and Clothing Manufacturing industries. His experience is broad, ranging from mergers, divestments, projects and Systems implementation to finance and commercial.

Kim Price
Expansion & Major Works Director

Kim Price first worked at the Yabulu Refinery between 2001 and 2004 in several Maintenance Superintendent roles throughout the site before moving on to Shutdown Management positions within BMA Coal and subsequently Minara Resources. Mr Price returned to Yabulu Refinery in the role of Maintenance Engineering Manager in 2008. Since the sale of the Refinery to Prof Clive Palmer he has accepted the role of Expansion and Major Works Director.
