Professor Clive Palmer
Chairman of the Board

Professor Palmer has over 25 years experience in the Australian resource industry with significant major project success. He is the Chairman of the Board for Queensland Nickel Pty Ltd and Gladstone Pacific Nickel Ltd. Professor Palmer is also Chairman and founder of Mineralogy Pty Ltd.

Professor Palmer is a Director of 28 other companies and a leader in the Australian community with business affiliations throughout the world.

Phil Collins
Acting Managing Director

Phil Collins has 30 years of financial and continuous improvement management experience across government, the leisure and gaming industry and legal administration, together with a variety of sea and shore based deployments with the Australian Navy. Mr Collins has a Bachelor of Arts (University of New South Wales), a Diploma of Education (University of Western Australia) and a Masters of Business Administration (University of Melbourne Business School).

Ian Ferguson
General Manager Operations

Ian Ferguson has over 35 years’ experience in the business development, acquisitions and marketing industries delivering projects and business development opportunities on a national basis. Mr Ferguson was the Managing Director of Pettitt and Sevitte Industries and has also served in a senior management role with Southern Advances Limited developing the business in Port Stephens New South Wales. Mr Ferguson has a diploma in Agriculture (Queensland Institute of Technology).

Simon Stodart
Commercial Director

Simon Stodart has a Bachelor degree of Commerce (University of Queensland) and trained as an Accountant with Ernst and Young Chartered Accountants. He has since worked in the banking and corporate sectors across Australia with a focus on venture and expansion capital. Mr Stodart has over thirty years’ experience in Australia and Asia Pacific. In recent times Mr Stodart has focused on Australian clean technologies with an application for the mining and industrial sectors.

Martin Brewster
Director, Expansion and Major Works

Mr Brewster is a former Local Government Business Manager who also served as an officer in a range of roles with the Royal Australian Air Force for 15 years. Mr Brewster provides leadership to the refinery in the areas of engineering, capital investment and project management. He is also responsible for the development and management of the refinery’s strategic plan, including a five year business plan.

David Morgan
Marketing Director
BSc (Chem) BEng (Chem & Mat)

David Morgan first worked at the Palmer Nickel and Cobalt Refinery between 1988 and 1993 as a Process Engineer before moving into various marketing roles, including a number of years in Singapore as the Cobalt and Specialty Products Marketing Manager. Under Prof Clive Palmer, Mr Morgan is the Marketing Director and is currently based in Brisbane, Queensland.

Peter Harrington
Ore Supply and Business Development Manager
BEng (Chem), PhD (Chem)

Peter Harrington has been employed in a number of roles at the Palmer Nickel and Cobalt Refinery 2000 including Operations Group Leader, Supply Manager, Technical Services Manager and Refinery Operations. Mr Harrington accepted the role of Ore Supply and Business Development Manager in 2009.
