Quarterly Bonuses

Yes quarterly! 

We believe that bonuses linked to achievable outcomes are important and need to be provided on a more regular basis, rather than just once per year.  Different levels of bonus are offered to people depending on their role in the organisation.

Salary Sacrifice

We offer employees the opportunity to salary package vehicles. This allows employees to select a vehicle they have always wanted, with the benefit of a tax concession.

Salary packaging is the commonly used term to describe the ability for employees (via their employer) to obtain legitimate tax concessions on the costs of certain personal/private goods and services.

Salary packaging allows for these costs to be deducted from an individual's wage or salary before it is taxed - reducing taxable income, and increasing your take home pay!

All salary packaging is governed by the Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) legislation. QN encourage employees to seek their own independent financial advice from an accountant or financial planner to determine the best option to manage your money.

Queensland Nickel offers a generous minimum superannuation payment of 11%. 

As the retirement age increases and the pension becomes less of a means of retirement, we understand that superannuation is important to our employee’s long term planning for a financially secure future.

Regular Salary Reviews

Salaries are reviewed on an annual basis based on market activity, roles, skills and a range of other factors. 

Shift Work Allowance

Shift work is an alternative employment option to the 9-5 Monday to Friday option, and is a requirement for some roles at our 24/7 refinery operation.

We offer shift workers a generous shift allowance to complement their salary to recognise the challenges that this work lifestyle can demand of employees.
