Queensland Nickel is the principal sponsor of the North Queensland Fury FC, North Queensland’s first Hyundai A-League football side.
Our partnership with the North Queensland Fury came about in August 2009, following Professor Clive Palmer’s purchase of the Refinery. As a business seeking to mark a new fresh beginning, we saw the synergies between us and the fledgling North Queensland Fury Football Club.
We believe the new football is the sport of the future and we’re delighted to get behind North Queensland’s newest national sporting team. We’re proud of what the club has achieved so far in their inaugural season and we are looking forward to what the team will achieve for the remainder of the season and into the future.
As part of our partnership with the North Queensland Fury, our employees have access to home game tickets and unique experiences with the players.
Queensland Nickel’s employees have embraced our relationship with the Fury and we hope the rest of the community will do likewise.
