Sustainable Development

“Sustainable development is environmental, economic and social well-being for today and tomorrow” (The International Institute of Sustainable Development, 2009).

The Palmer Nickel and Cobalt Refinery is committed to sustainable development. We recognise that minimising our impact on the environment, a commitment to health and safety and strong community relations will drive the long term success of our business. Our commitment to sustainable development in our region is evident through our environmental, health and safety and community initiatives.

Our Health, Safety, Environment, Community and Quality (HSECQ) Policy is defined and authorised by the Refinery leadership Team, and states the commitment of the company to manage and improve HSECQ performance.
